Mashi moves to LA

Yeah, its tru: Mark de Clive Lowe, master of MPC and Freesoul Sessions is leavin town soon and movin to the sunny LA. Good for him. He will come back to London many times a year so its good news for us Londoners. Before the big relocation, here he comes with the fresh news from his lab:

The Politik Remix Competition is waaaay behind schedule, but we’re getting close to announcing the winners – it’s been a fantastic selection of remixes and reinterpretations from all around the world…. Incognito have just been given the MdCL remix treatment – watch out for the remix of Feel the Pressure in coming months… new MdCL productions in the pipeline with Omar, Mystro and Leon Ware – speaking of, check out Leon’s brand new album out now on Stax Records. Mark is currently producing a new album for Dutch trumpet player Rob van den Wouw for Embrace Records and will be providing beats for the Decypher Collective’s 8sixteen32 theatre production at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre in early November…. Phil Asher’s Phlash & Friends album – featuring a number of MdCL collaborations – is finished! Out on Archive Records before the year’s end. Norweigan funk band The Funktioneers have been in studio with MdCL behind the control room desk guiding their new album project.
