Aaron Jerome

One of the names to watch out for this year is def Aaron Jerome out of London. Following many delightful but yet underrated remixes for 4hero to Fertile Ground to Nicole Willis and a neat single on WahWah Records, he is ready to exhibit his talent and music in 2007 with his forthcoming debut album on Nurture Records. The LP will feature such awesome vocalists and artists like Andreya Triana (!), Kathrin De Boer, Mozez, Yungun, Bajka or Voice…The first single, coming out in March or so, will be ‘Dancing Girl’ which is a cover version of the Terry Callier classic. Of course there’ll be many new remixes coming from AJ, check his myspace page and his official site for news, sounds and his webdesigner stuff.

Another winner from the Beyondjazz roundup poll is Henrik Schwarz who’s been leading in the best remixer category from day one, probably with his amazing rework made for Coldcut‘s ‘Walk a Mile in My Shoes’ last year. Now here’s a couple of new and forthcoming remixes to look out for from the ecxellent german tech- electro-house producer at the first half of the year.

Mari Boine – Vuoi Vuoi Mu (Henrik Schwarz Remix) (Universal)
Chateau Flight
– Baltrinque (Henrik Schwarz Remix) (Innervision)
Kraak & Smaak
– No Sun in the Sky (Henrik Schwarz Remix) (Jalapeno)
Greyship Davis
– Get Up And Let Your Body Pop (Jazzanova w. Henrik Schwarz Remix) (Past Due) …and also remixes for ‘Love is What Stays’ by Mark Murphy and a Frankie Valentine‘s tune ‘Zumbi’.

opo

Swedish-hungarian talent and producer Peter Major aka Opolopo, who seems to have won “the new talent” category at our Beyondjazz round-up poll, is going to have a big year in 2007. First comes a single ‘Madness’ feat two special cosmic- soul tunes and vocalists Nadine Francios and Ed Black on Swedish Brandy, then a bruk-house twelve ‘Street Lights’ feat Amalia and hopefully their ‘All System Down’ joint will be out this year too. Besides some of his remix works, He is also planning to release his second album around summer or so. My interview with him will be published very soon on bj, will post the link here of course.

Before i forget, Fruitful New Year to Everyone!
